Welcome to Castle Cary Bowls Club.  The club was founded in 1984 and enjoys a full programme of bowling during the season and a variety of events over the closed season.  The club is affiliated to Bowls England and the Somerset Bowls Association.

We are a mixed club and cater for all ages and levels of lawn green bowls.  Our members enjoy taking part in inter-club competitions as well as a mixed, ladies and mens league and friendly matches.  Many of our members also enter the County and National competitions, and the club also enters the club National and County competitions.  Three of our Men and four of our Ladies went to the National Finals in Leamington in 2018, a great achievement for them.

New members are welcome to come along for a taster session on any Tuesday evening from 6.30pm, equipment and instruction available.  There is no obligation - come along and take advantage of a couple of free sessions.

Other days/times willingly arranged.

NEWS - COVID-19 Update - With the recent announcement from Government stating that some outdoor sports, including bowls, could resume as long as necessary restrictions were put in place, we have waited for guidance from our national and county governing bodies before making a decision about opening the green for play.  This guidance has now been received and the committee have decided to stay closed for the immediate future.  However, should the Covid-19 situation improve and a further relaxation announced, the decision will be reviewed.  The green continues to be cut regularly and the surrounds maintained.  It is important that our members stay safe in readiness for a return to the green.  We hope that this will be sooner rather than later
